Hello! This is Milla Nguyen, the director of "I Want You to Live", my senior capstone film produced in the Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University. Auditions for character roles are now open!

Mrs. Elizabeth (Female, ages between 35-55, any ethnicity)
Mrs. Elizabeth is the neighbor of Lia Nguyen and close friend to her late mother. She comforts Lia in her darkest of moments, becoming a motherly figure to her.
​
Avian Nguyen (Female, ages 22-30, Asian or Pacific Islander Descent Preferred, any ethnicity is accepted ) - VOICE ACTING ONLY ! Avian Nguyen is the older sister of Lia Nguyen who is a writer and frequently works overseas. While she has a family of her own, Avian considers Lia to be important to her. They share various emotional conversations in the film.

Young Kim Nguyen (Female, Ages 18-25, of Asian or Pacific islander descent preferred, any ethnicity is accepted) - VOICE ACTING ONLY!
Kim Nguyen is Lia's mother. she narrates her life in a handwritten journal starting from when she was a teenager until adulthood.

Kim Nguyen (adult) (Female, ages 35-55) of Asian or Pacific islander descent preferred, any ethnicity is accepted) - VOICE ACTING ONLY
Kim Nguyen is Lia Nguyen's mother and writes a journal to look back on what she has experienced in life. As the adult version of herself, she revisits memories in a mature/ older tone.

Courier (any gender, any age, any ethnicity)
the courier delivers the mail/ news to Lia's front door.
Marie (Female, ages 18-24, any ethnicity)
Marie is one of Lia's friends. Marie and her high school friends meet Lia at a diner as a reunion. She is energetic, kind, and caring.

Jonah (male, ages 18-24, any ethnicity)
Jonah is one of the friends in Lia's friend group. he is at the diner reunion and assures Lia that the group would come back together. he is confident, comforting, and light-hearted.
